- Gasket strainers are inserted between flanges, acting as both gasket and strainer: saving money and space.
- Tee strainers are inserted any place there is a 90 degree in the pipe. They can be cleaned through the end cap or blow down.

Full size filters can be used where equipment requires more protection or there is a higher probability of debris present in the lines. Dry Filters are used in most cases for dry particulates. In the event of high water/oil aerosol content, Coalescing or Filter/Separators may be required.
